Privacy Policy — Neurai Flasher

Neurai Flasher does not collect any personal data

Neurai Flasher ("the app") is an Android application that flashes firmware onto ESP32-family boards connected to your phone over USB. This policy explains what the app does and does not do with your information. It applies to the app published under the package name org.neurai.flasher.

Data we collect

None. The app has no user accounts, no sign-in, no analytics, no advertising, and no tracking of any kind. We do not collect, store, or transmit any personal or device information about you. Nothing you do in the app is reported back to us or to any third party.

Permissions the app uses

• USB host access — used solely to communicate with an ESP32 board that you physically connect to your phone, in order to detect it and write firmware to it. No data leaves your phone through this channel; it only talks to the connected board.
• Internet access — used only to download the public firmware catalog and the firmware binary files you choose, over HTTPS, from public GitHub servers (raw.githubusercontent.com and GitHub Releases). These are ordinary requests for public files. We do not send any personal information in them, and we do not operate a server that logs your activity.

Data stored on your device

Everything the app stores stays on your phone, in the app's private storage, and is removed when you uninstall the app:

• Firmware files you download, cached so they can be re-flashed offline. You can delete them at any time from Options → Storage → Free up space or the Firmware tab.
• A copy of the firmware catalog, so the list works without a connection.
• Your app preferences, such as the light/dark theme setting.

This information is never uploaded anywhere.

Data sharing

We do not share any data with third parties, because we do not collect any. When you download firmware, your device connects directly to GitHub; that connection is subject to GitHub's own privacy statement, exactly as it would be if you opened those files in a web browser.

Children's privacy

The app is a developer/hardware tool and is not directed at children. It does not knowingly collect information from anyone, including children under 13.

Security

Firmware downloads are made over HTTPS and are verified against a published SHA-256 checksum before being used, so a corrupted or tampered file is rejected.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above and post the revised version at the same address. Continued use of the app after a change means you accept the updated policy.
